How to Invite a Villager or NPC
- For Villagers: Use the right stick on the Switch Joycon/Switch Controller to scan the Amiibo card at Resident Services. You will need to scan the Amiibo card 3 days in a row for the villager to come live on your Island.
- For a Villager or NPC Visit:
- Brewster’s Café ~ Use the phone at Brewster’s Café to invite a Villager or NPC for a coffee date. Use the right stick on the Switch Joycon/Switch Controller to scan the Amiibo card.
- Harv’s Photopia Island ~ Fly to Harv’s Island. Go inside Harv’s Photograph Studio. Use the right stick on the Switch Joycon/Switch Controller to scan the Amiibo card. The Villager or NPC will immediately arrive in the Photo Studio.
- For Happy Home Paradise: Using the telephone in Lottie’s office, use the right stick on the Switch Joycon/Switch Controller to scan the Amiibo card to invite a Villager or NPC for a Vacation Home.
